In 2012, I was invited to help out at the Special Olympics East Herts football team, and this seemingly small action initiated an amazing journey. From the moment I was standing on the sidelines, supporting the players, I decided I wanted to make a significant impact on the lives of people with special needs.
After talking with several parents, it quickly became apparent that post-school opportunities for these individuals were very limited. I knew I could offer something more appealing than the traditional 'Day Service' and from there Live A Little was born.
Our aim is to empower individuals with learning difficulties and special needs to live fulfilling lives and participate fully in their communities.

I joined Live a little in February 2019, after working in Insurance for 10+ years. My brother (Ray) asked me to join as he has always wanted Live A little to have a good family ethos and believed that I would rise to the challenge, this has been the best decision I have made and enjoy working with all the clients. I feel that I have benefitted from my role in the company, as I enjoy supporting each and every one of our clients, parents and staff and I appreciate all the positive feedback. Live A Little is very much a family atmosphere!

I joined Live a little in June 2021, after a long career always working in an office environment. I was looking for a career that I would leave every day feeling that I had made a positive difference to someone in some way. Live a little has enriched my life as every day I get to work alongside a great team and meet some truly wonderful clients!

I joined Live a little in November 2021, after a 13 year career in Banking. After being made redundant, I wanted to totally change my career. Since I left school I have always wanted to do something rewarding but never took the leap. I can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done. When work is something you look forward to everyday, you cannot beat it. All of the staff and clients at Live a little make a positive difference to me daily!

In 2015, I became a part of Live a Little. Prior to that, I had been involved in transporting children with special needs to and from school, a job that brought me immense satisfaction. Live a Little was expanding, and after approximately 18 months of its establishment, I joined the company to support Ray. Working with individuals with special needs, whether children or adults, has always been fulfilling for me. I find great joy in providing support and encouragement in this role.
